Everglades National Park Fee: There is an additional $8 National Park Fee, not included with your purchase. The National Park Service assesses an $8.00 entrance fee per person (ages 16+). Waived if you hold a valid National Park Pass (America the Beautiful, Senior, Military).
Hours & Daily Schedule: Open 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 365 days a year. The Original Airboats depart every 20–30 mins. Last boat departs promptly at 4:30 PM.
Concession Policy: In accordance with National Park Service concession regulations, all tour tickets are non-refundable. First-come, first-served.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to make a reservation for regular tours?

No! The Original Airboat Tours run continuously on a walk-in basis from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day of the year. When you arrive, simply step up to the ticket booth and you will be boarded on the next available airboat (typically every 20 to 30 minutes).

Are alligators guaranteed?

While the Everglades is an authentic wild ecosystem, Coopertown captains have navigated these waters for decades and know the active alligators' basking spots, dens, and channels. Alligators and native wading birds are seen on nearly every tour!

Are tour tickets refundable?

In accordance with Everglades National Park concession policies, all ticket sales are non-refundable. Tours operate in sunshine and light rain (Florida rain showers pass quickly). If severe lightning occurs, departures are briefly held until safe to resume.

What about young children and infants?

Children of all ages are welcome! Children aged 6 and younger ride completely free with an adult. We provide complimentary child-friendly ear protection, and our captains ensure a smooth, secure experience for family members of all ages.

How do I book a private tour?

Private tours (1-hour, 1.5-hour, or 2-hour tours on 6 or 10-passenger boats) require advance reservation. Larger groups can also be accommodated upon request. Please call our reservation desk at (305) 226-6048 to check availability and secure your boat and captain.

Can I bring food or drinks on the airboat?

We recommend finishing beverages and snacks before boarding to keep our hands free and protect the delicate Everglades ecosystem from accidental litter. You can pick up snacks, ice-cold refreshments, and unique souvenirs at the Coopertown Gift Shop before or after your tour!
